English II Honors
English II honors provides an in depth study of culture in literature through the examination and analysis of short stories, articles, essays, speeches, biographies, autobiographies, drama, poetry, epic poetry, and novels from a vast array of cultures. This is a preparatory course for post-secondary work that stresses the art of effective communication, both oral and written, and offers practice in three modes of discourse: informative/explanatory (expository), argumentative, and narrative. At the conclusion of this course, students will take the English II End of Course(EOC) Exam, which will count as their final exam score.
